A recent survey released by the IAB and PwC shows that the online performance marketing industry generated an incredible £14 billion in sales in 2013. In traffic, that equates to about 10 million clicks per day with a 5% conversion rate. And it’s not just the big publishers and super-affiliates generating this revenue.
In fact, a new and growing industry is opening up in the ‘long tail’, where individuals and small publishers with specialist knowledge of a particular area, can produce websites and then automatically generate advertising revenue.
