It’s hard to believe that the first half of the year is behind us. Now is also a good time to take a look at the financial numbers from the first 6 months and see how the business is performing. As publishers/bloggers/affiliate marketers you are also our business partners, and I therefore like to share some of the key statistics with you.
With the dreary weather we’ve been having it’s warming to see that performance-wise, the first half of this year has been a strong one for AdMarula indeed – and that’s good news for our publishers! Total commissions earned has grown by 41% over the 6-month period (from January to June), and the number of publishers in the network has grown by 52% compared to the same time last year.
We have also seen a significant increase (111%) in the number of merchants (and especially bid brands like Captain Morgan, L’Occitaine, Old Mutual, Mr Price Sport, Sportsmans Warehouse and Outdoor Warehouse) joining the network during the first half of this year vs the same period last year. These are all very encouraging indicators and a testament to the fact that Performance Marketing has a strong value proposition and that the work my team and all of you are doing, is yielding results. And we love results – that’s after all what Performance Marketing is all about.
Our focus between now and December is to continue adding new, attractive offers to the network; widen our reach on a national level – which for me means regular trips to Johannesburg and Durban to meet with clients and publishers in other regions; and finally, continue to grow and activate our publisher network. In this light we will also be hosting our second publisher seminar of the year (10th September), focusing on the technological tips and techniques every online publisher/affiliate marketer needs to be aware of to achieve best practice AND best results. Attendance is free, however places are limited. You should have already received an invitation, but details can also be found further down in this newsletter. We hope to see you there!
As always feel free to email me with comments or suggestions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wishing you all a productive and busy H2.
